OKARA - Govt Model Girls High School Okara’s Ayesha Aslam who topped the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Lahore in Arts Group, said that her success was because of the efforts of her teachers and parents.
She also praised the efforts of the school headmistress, Ramana Ambrin. She had make exam preparation amid the prolonged power outages with the help of mobile light and secured the position by continued struggle. Now, she desires to appear in CSS exams after graduation.
Ayesha, who secured 970 marks, lamented that the Punjab chief minister gave laptops only to the students of Science Group whereas the position holders in Arts Group have been neglected. She asked whether the students in Arts Group were unable to derive benefits from laptops. Ayesha, who is a resident of Fareed Town, has two brothers and four sisters. One sister, Misbah Aslam, is a student of FSc pre-engineering. The other sister, Iqra Aslam, has done an M.A in Islamiat. Whereas her brother, Ali Raza, is a student of BCom.
EDO Misbah Talet said Aesha Aslam having topped in Lahore Board has established an example. The EDO said she was proud of Ayesha and the whole credit goes to her parents, school principal and teachers.
EIGHT PEOPLE BOOKED: A case was registered against eight people who were extorting Rs300 from every passengers’ bus. Sources said, a resident of Anwar Block, Alla Dad Colony, Haji Mohammad Perveez lodged a complaint with the police station that he was bus stand in-charge at the general bus stand. The other day, he was on duty when Saifullah, Talah Saif , Aslam, Sadiq Anwar, Sujjad, Ghulam Hussain etc were extorting money in the name of Jagga Tax. He forbade them but they lashed him with iron rods. Having registered a case, the police started inquiry.
YOUTH KILLED: In Adda Mehl Wala, a youth was shot dead over old enmity. Mohammad Munsha, a resident of Thatha Husan Ka Merdani, along with his father Amin was on his way to buy medicines. Near Adda Mehl Wala, Mushtaq, Ishaq, Abdullah among 10 people opened fire on Amin and killed him on the spot. The motive behind the incident is stated old enmity and litigation.
