BAHAWALPUR - Islamia University Bahawalpur Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar said that welfare project like the Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) could act as catalysts for development in the country.

While addressing the participants of the Punjab Education Endowment Fund (PEEF) Ambassador Programme at IUB Abbasia Campus, the VC said that under these programmes, 15 students of the IUB and 12 students of Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan were provided leadership and volunteerism training. On the occasion, Dr Mukhtar shared his observations and experiences about students’ leadership in various parts of the world.

Akhuwat Director Izharul Haq and faculty member of University of Central Punjab Syed Hussain Haider also expressed their views on the occasion. It is to be noted that around 650 students of the IUB are availing PEEF scholarships worth Rs33 million.
