ISLAMABAD  - Federal Minister for Information Qamar Zaman Kaira on Sunday said that current electricity crisis was due to some technical faults and windstorm in Muzaffargarh which would be resolved within next 2-3 days.

Talking to PTV, he said technical teams had reached on the spot and 300MW electricity suspended from Muzaffargarh will be again added into the system while 350 MW to get restored till Monday with the functioning of Lal Pir power plant.

However, it would take 2-3 days to restore 350 MW more from Park Jin power plant which would help to overcome the current problem of energy.

He said 350MW would be added soon in system with repairing a part of Chashma Nuclear power plant. Guddu power plant will also start functioning soon and crisis occurred due to windstorm would be resolved by improving the current shortage of almost 2000MW.

He said that unscheduled loadshedding would end after addition of 2000MW into the system, The Information Minister said that government was also providing oil supply to all power plants.
