LAHORE – Lahore Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Muhammad Tahir Rai stressed divisional superintendents of police (SPs) on Sunday to develop close liaison with the administration of mosques and worship places in the Punjab capital.

During his interaction with the administration of several mosques and worship places, which have been declared as sensitive by the security agencies, Rai assured them that the City Police would consider their suggestions about security arrangements and the overall law and order situation.

The DIG also visited several mosques and worship places in different parts of the City and inspected the security arrangements around them. He passed a wireless message to all divisional SPs and directed them to personally visit sensitive mosques.
