9 cops sacked over negligence



LAHORE: Lahore DIG (Operations) Muhammad Tahir Rai on Monday dismisses from service nine police officials on the charges of criminal negligence.
According to a police spokesman, four sub inspectors, one assistant sub inspector, one head constable and three constables were dismissed from their services.
The city operation police chief awarded punishment to the policemen during the Orderly Room, where he listened to the cops, who were charged on the allegations of inefficiency and negligence.
Officials said that SI Abdul Shammi and SI Muhammad Bashir were dismissed from their services for showing negligence which led to the killing of two persons in the premises of the session court. Similarly, SI Maqsood Ahmed, SI Saif-ullah, ASI Muhammad Ashraf, Head Constable Shahabdin, Constable Muhammad Nadeem, Constable Nazir Hussain, and Constable Abdul Waheed were dismissed from their services for their failure to make foolproof security arrangements at the district courts from where 8 under trial prisoners escaped from the police custody.–Staff Reporter
