ISLAMABAD - Evergreen and Nishter Football clubs qualified for the finals of the Al-Muslim Floodlight Football Tournament here at Pasban Sports Complex Westridge III Rawalpindi. In the first semi-final, Evergreen FC beat Ghauri FC 2-1. Ghauri FC took the lead through Tamim who scored the first gaol for his team in the 23rd minute but Ahmed came to rescue Evergreen as he first scored the equaliser in the 43rd minute and then slammed the second which helped Evergreen to qualify for their first ever final. In the second semi-final, Nishter FC beat Morgah FC 4-3 on plenty kicks. The match remained goalless in the normal time. The final will be played today (Tuesday). Former Al-Muslim FC team captain M Sagheer will grace the occasion as a chief guest and distribute prizes among the winners.–Staff Reporter
