ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday directed federal police to arrange medical treatment for Abdullah Omer, an accused arrested for his alleged involvement in the killing of Ch Zulfiqar Ali, former prosecutor of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) who was prosecuting Benazir Bhutto murder and Mumbai attack cases. In this connection, Chief Justice IHC Muhammad Anwar Khan Kasi also ordered the police to submit a compliance report in the court by Wednesday July 31 after arranging medical treatment for the accused. The court also reprimanded police and Adiala jail authorities for not having medical check-up of the accused despite the court's orders.Earlier on July 22, the IHC bench had ordered the Islamabad police to admit the accused to a hospital for treatment of a firearm injury after hearing the application of Abdullah Omer's mother Khalida Yasmeen.–Staff Reporter
