QUETTA - The Balochistan PML-Q on Monday decided to support the PML-N candidate in the presidential election and would not boycott the poll.

This was decided by the parliamentary board of the party during a session held here in the provincial capital with its parliamentary leader, Jaffer Khan Mandokhel. Balochistan Assembly Deputy Speaker Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and PML-Q senior leader Saeed Hashmi were also present among others.

Jaffer Mandokhel said that the central leadership had delegated the authority to the provincial chapter to take its decisions according to its own circumstances, on account of the peculiar circumstances prevailing in Balochistan and being an ally of the provincial government. However, he didn’t disclose the final decision of the parliamentary board.

On the other hand, PML-Q sources said that being an ally of the provincial government, the party would go against the decision of the central leadership and vote for the PML-N candidate.

It may be mentioned here that out of 65 seats of Balochistan Assembly, PML-Q has five seats.
