At least eight persons including a woman and three members of a family were killed in separate incidents of violence and mishaps over the past 24 hours
As per details, at least five persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents that took place in different parts of the district over the past 24 hours.  As per detail, a 22-year-old dejected lovebird committed suicide by hanging himself following the opposition of his lover’s parents to marry their daughter.
As per details, one Hafiz Sabir Ali, a resident of Ward No-5 Jhang city fell in love with a girl and wanted to marry her but the girl’s parents were opposed to their marriage. Disappointed over the decision he ended life by hanging himself.
Similarly in a road mishap which occurred in Satellite Town an unidentified passer-by was killed by a speeding motorcycle hit. As per details, an unidentified person was going on road when suddenly a speeding bike coming from the rear hit him, killing him instantly. The Satellite Town Police have registered a case against the motorcyclist. In another mishap, a 50-year-old man was electrocuted. According to available reports, one Waris, a resident of Thatha Muhammad Shah was passing through a street in the night when suddenly he touched a live electric wire and died on the spot.  Similarly in another road mishap that took place on Hasso Wali Road in Shorkot when a tractor-trolley crushed to death a woman. Reportedly, one Khanen Mai was crossing road when a tractor-trolley hit her. As a result she sustained critical injuries and breathed her last instantly. The Shorkot City Police have registered a case against the driver.
In yet another mishap pesticide claimed life of a young man. According to sources, one Abdul Razaq, son of Ghulam Muhammad, a resident of Mauza Ambianwala was spraying pesticides in sugarcane fields which reacted him and he was took to Allied Hospital where he died.
In SHEIKHUPURA, three members of a family were killed in a road mishap in front of Shahdra Floor Mill here on Sargodha Road near Farooqabad on Monday. According to details, Muhammad Khan, his son Ilyas and a nephew Abdul Sattar were on the way to village Jhamke on a motorcycle (LEV-5923). When they reached near the Floor Mill a rashly driven passenger van hit the two-wheeler. As a result all the three members got head injuries and fell on the road. Meanwhile a speeding truck coming from the opposite direction also knocked them down, killing them instantly. While the van and truck driver escaped from the scene. The bodies were taken to DHQ Hospital for post-mortem. The Farooqabad Saddr Police are looking into the matter.
