SHEIKHUPURA
During a ceremony, compensation cheques worth Rs500,000 each were on Saturday distributed to the heirs of 14 people who died in a train-rickshaw collision on railway crossing Khanpur here.
The cheques were donated by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to the heirs of aggrieved families. The ceremony was held in village Khanpur and attended by government officials, MNAs, MPAs and the families.
