It has been more than eight years since western forces invaded Afghanistan to eliminate Taliban and hunt down its famed leader, Osama bin laden. But no traces have been found till today of either Osama or his equally famous host, Mullah Omar. Countless Afghan civilians died. Some fled. The foreign troops are still there while Osama and Mullah Omar are still at large. Iraq got brutally invaded and hanging of Saddam came as a New Year gift to the Muslim world but no signs of weapons of mass destruction could be found there either. In Pakistan also, despite operation Rah-e-Rast in Swat, Fazlullah, Sufi Muhammad and all the militant leaders carrying (huge) head money on them are still at large. So who are the TTP members being killed and apprehended? -MARGHUZ KHAN, Peshawar, via e-mail, June 21.
