Challan against DSP, cops

LAHORE - The Nishtar Colony Police on Wednesday submitted challan against DSP Riast Bajwa and three other police officials, the police held the accused party of responsible of holding the fake encounter in which one robber Shahbaz was killed by them and the challan contains around 80 pages. According to investigation, DSP Riasat Bajwa, sub inspector Muhammad Riaz and two police constables namely Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Asif were involved in staging fake encounter, in which a robber Shahbaz Butt was killed in Nishtar Colony area. As per case details, three robbers including Shahbaz Butt stormed into Makkah Medical Store at Yuhanabad late on a couple of days ago on Friday. During their robbery bid, they looted Rs.35,000 while the owner of the store showing resistance started scuffling with Shahbaz. In the meantime two other robbers fled away from the scene when the brother of the owner arrived there. Shahbaz did aerial firing however the owner succeeded in capturing one robber Shahbaz. Later two bikes of Muhafiz Squad arrived at the spot.
