Drive against fire incidents to be launched

OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Pakistan Industrial & Traders Association Front (PIAF) would prepare a working plan in collaboration with the market presidents, All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran and Qoumi Tajar Ittehad for launching awareness campaign to avoid fire incidents at business places. The decision was made during the meeting between PIAF, LCCI former Presidents and All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran and fire-affected traders of Shahlam Market. LCCI former President Mian Anjum Nisar was leading the delegation while Chairman PIAF Sohail Lashari, Senior VC Nadar Kamal Osman, LCCI former Presidents Mian Shafqat Ali, Mohammad Ali Mian, Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, President All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran Khalid Pervez, LCCI Executive Committee Member Wajid Ali Chaudhry, former PIAF Chairmen Mian Abuzar Shad, Irfan Qaiser, market association president Kh. Mohammad Amir, General Secretary Talal Butt, Chairmn Rafiq Butt, VP Rana Nisar and Tariq Butt spoke on the occasion. The head of delegation Mian Anjum Nisar said that PIAF, All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran and Quomi Tajar Ittehad would also urge upon the LESCO officials to implement the working plan in the true sense of word. He assured the fire-affected traders that they would leave no stone unturned for their help. He said that a committee, comprising the representatives of PIAF, Anjuman-e-Tajran, Quomi Tajar Ittehad and fire-affectees would soon contact the government for compensation of damage. He said that it was the duty of the concerned government departments to ensure fire extinguishers in all the major markets of the country as in a number of incidents the magnitude of the damage caused by fire multiplied because of insufficient arrangements.
