Man accuses police of torture, bribe

OUR STAFF REPORTER MALAKWAL - A resident of village Bhachar situated in the limits of Kuthyala Shekhan Police, has alleged that ASI Muhammad Nawaz along with other police officials raided his house and tortured him and two women of his family. He also accused the ASI of getting Rs30,000 in bribe for his release. According to detail, American-returned Muhammad Munsha Gondal alleged that a police party led by ASI Muhammad Nawaz stormed into his house and tortured his family and took away them to the police station. After few hours, they yet again raided his house on the plea that they have search warrants. The police party also took him to the police station where they tortured him. They put him and his son under detention for whole the day and released him after taking Rs30,000 in bribe. He claimed that he had got licence for a weapon he possessed. On the order hand, the police denied the taking any bribe from him.The victim has called on the police high ups to take notice of the police behaviour and protect him from the local police.
