Many countries oppose abolition of rotation policy

HONG KONG - Not only the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) are opposing the abolition of the rotation policy for the ICC presidentship, but a few more countries have reservation over the move, it is learnt here. This was confirmed by none other than the top ICC official. Speaking exclusively during a brief chat at the Elements Shopping Mall (adjacent to Hotel W, where delegates are staying) while he was roaming with his wife at the Raffles show room, he said: "There are many countries not happy with the abolition of this system". The official didn't spell out the individuals, but Cricket South Africa (CSA) and possibly the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) and Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) are keen to retain the rotation policy until at least the completion of the current cycle. Had there been a situation to vote for, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), would have abstained. According to the other insiders, the move has specifically come from the Indian Cricket Board and the secretary (and president-elect) N Srinivasan is keen to have Mr Shashank Manohar as ICC vice president and top job after the end of Alan Issac's tenure.
