Screams avert surveyors rape bid

BUREWALA - A 13-year-old girls screaming reportedly foiled rape bid of Benazir Income Support Programmes surveyors on her in Hafiz Town here on Wednesday.
She was passing through a street. When she reached in front of the office of World Life Organisation, she was intercepted by BISP surveyor Babar Ali and his two accomplices. They took her inside the office. The girl put up resistance and started screaming. As soon as local people gathered there, the accused locked the office and run away quickly.
Police reached the site and shifted the girl to Tehsile Headquarters Hospital for medical examination. After examination, Medical Officer Dr Sadia in the initial report did not confirm rape with her. Nevertheless, the doctor sent samples to the laboratory for final opinion. The police have registered a rape attempt case against the BISP surveyors.
