ISLAMABAD - The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) have conducted operations in different cities and arrested 11 drug smugglers, recovering 38 kg Charas, one kg heroin, and 45 kg opium from them, said an ANF spokesman here Sunday.

According to details, ANF Quetta recovered 45 kg opium from a house in Kachlak and apprehended an accused, Fida Muhammad, with a 30-bore pistol and six rounds. ANF Rawalpindi arrested three local drug dealers namely Shakil Ahmed, Wali Noor and Farah Naz at Daewoo Bus Stand with 17 kg Charas.

ANF Rawalpindi also held Sharif Abid Masih, resident of Kasur, who was to fly for Abu Dhabi through flight no. EY-232, at Islamabad airport for bearing ingested heroin filled capsules. ANF Rawalpindi arrested Muhmmad Jamshed from Jhelum city with a recovery of 600 gram Charas.

ANF Lahore recovered 8.4 kg Charas from a house in Islamapura Mohallah, Lahore and arrested accused Ghulam Sarawar alias Goga. ANF Peshawar seized Toyota car No. LRE-888 at Hattar Road, Haripur and recovered 12 kg Charas from the car and arrested two accused, Sajid Ali resident of Mradan and Faqir Taj, resident of Charsada. ANF Peshawar arrested a passenger of Flight No. NL-721 destined for Jeddah namely Sher Akbar r/o Karachi at Peshawar Airport and recovered 500 gram heroin and 400 gram methamphetamine ice and 80 ingested heroin filled capsules.

 ANF Peshawar arrested a passenger of Flight No. NL-786 destined for Dubai namely Muhammad Noman r/o Charsada at Peshawar Airport and recovered 550 gram heroin concealed in his trolly bag.
