Rawalpindi- Complaints cells of WASA Rawalpindi and Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB) will remain open round the clock during holy month of Ramadan to address the complaints of the citizens in respect of water supply.

Both the civic bodies have decided to use generators as alternative to load shedding for storage of water being supplied from Khan Pur dam, Rawal dam and tube wells. WASA is acquiring 6 million gallons water and Cantonment board is acquiring 9 million gallons water from Khanpur dam daily at present. Both the civic bodies have proper system in place to obtain water from tube wells. Despite having these resources of water supply, both the civic bodies have not sufficient water supply  to cater to the needs of the citizens.

Station Commander Rawalpindi Brig Zahid Ahmad Rana has directed Chief Executive Officers of both the cantonment boards to dispatch water tankers in those areas where from the complaints on shortage of water are received in large number.
