A ceremony in connection with anniversary of Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjeet Singh was held at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore, reported by Radio Pakistan.

Caretaker Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq and Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs Khalid Masood Chaudhry attended the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, they said that all minorities enjoy equal right in Pakistan including the Sikh community.

Head of Sikh delegation Sardar Bilvandar Singh said that Pakistan and India relationship will improve if friendship between Sikhs and Muslims is strengthened.

Special gifts were also distributed among Sikh leaders and guests from India.
