Karachi - The adviser to Sindh CM, Sharmila Farooqui expressed her concern on the increasing of drug addicts in the province and proposed to launch the campaign from educational institutions to eradicate this menace. She urged to create awareness against the drug addiction among the masses at grass root level. She expressed these notions when she was visiting the New Horizon centre on Friday, where treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts is being provided free of cost. The coordinator of New Horizon, Naveed Younis, briefed the adviser to Sindh CM that society was plunge in number of other problems due to on going circumstances. We have neglected that this crust is rapidly penetrating in the ranks of our society and dejected, deprived and poor masses are easily tuning towards drugs addition, he pinpointed. Moreover, proposal to implement this program for Drug Free Educational Institutes, Universities, Colleges and Schools of Karachi and Sindh, is under consideration.We will highly appreciate your kind attention, concern and positive response to make our Educational Institutes drug free in collaboration with us," said the source.
