FAISALABAD - Governor Punjab Salman Taseer has urged upon the universities to enhance the network of their research work, as it is a regime of information technology so that our country can progress in every field of life. He was addressing at the 18th convocation of University of Agriculture Faisalabad here on Monday. Governor said that in entire world new technologies regarding agriculture are being introduced, we shall adopt them practically for vast agriculture development. He said that industrialists and traders need long time to make progress in their business but in agriculture sector we can achieve vast results in short time, therefore, we should work hard for agriculture development. He appreciated the students getting degrees in different agriculture and food technology fields. Federal Minister for Textile Industry Rana Farooq Saeed Khan, PPP Punjab president Rana Aftab Ahmad Khan and VC UAF Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan were also present with him. Meanwhile, MPA Rana Afzal of PML-N walked out from the UAF convocation. He raised objection that PPP Punjab president Rana Aftab, being syndicate member of the university, was sitting on the stage, which he said was against the rules and regulations. He also called a Press briefing and condemned the step and demanded necessary action but he was ignored. He demanded to make educational institutes atmosphere politics-free.
