As the Muslim lands burn along the shores of the Mediterranean and the Arabian seas, the West laughs at the chaos and mayhem cunningly labelling it as the Facebook revolt. The intelligentsia of the Islamic world joins the chorus by applauding from their drawing rooms, as the images of puffing dust and smoke rising from the beautiful cities of Benghazi, Alexandria, Manama and Sana mar the skyline adorned by dominating minarets, testaments of the fact that these are abodes of the Ummah. The narrative for each country is different; somewhere it is the tyrant verses the oppressed, in other places it is the Kurds verses the Arab, and Shiite verses the Sunni, whether you are in an oil rich or a poor Arab country, it does not make any difference as the ultimate design is to push these lands into a perpetual state of anarchy. Read the themes and narratives thrown out by Al Jazeera in last five years, and have a close look at their anchors; who are these guys and what are they doing in the Middle East. Hey, it is Riz Khan and company - all runaway kids from CNN, BBC, and FOX - working for democracy and human rights in the Middle East, but not authorised to discuss the human rights of the Palestinians and the Kashmiris. Welcome to the Greater Middle East, where every existing fault line is being shaken to create anarchy; some as old as the ones left by the Lawrence of Arabia and others created by self-confident Gaddafis and Mubaraks. The leadership should have understood that the common man cannot be suppressed for too long, especially in this time of information and empowerment. You can stuff billion of dollars in Swiss Banks and build villas in every continent, but you cannot buy peace and security for you and your people. Where are the $10 billion left by the Shah of Iran, and where will the $60 billions of Mubarak family end up; these will never go to the Iranian and the Egyptian people. These will be tagged as 'frozen and used by the Western banks and governments to play the game of chaos called the 'long war. Gaddafis billions are already being used against Libya by the European-American colossus to arm the rebels and run expensive media campaign frightening the Arab elite that they may be next in line. Fault lines exist in every society and country; it is a matter of managing these with the onus lying on the political leadership. If class gap between the elite and the people crosses a particular threshold, the sustenance of an established system becomes untenable. When you live in a competitive environment studded with hidden enemies, your vulnerability becomes critical - only a cohesive system based on trust between the elite and the common people can survive. The failure to address these issues is likely to create and nurture simmering currents resulting in the chaos effect. Middle East has suffered from these simmering currents and the chaos effect. Despite the shinning faade of petro dollars and tales of milk and honey, the regions moorings have been weakening with each passing day. With increasing gap between the rulers and the ruled, the foreign sponsored media like Al Jazeera in chorus with CNN, BBC, FOX and Facebook penetrated the frustrated minds of the youth with poisonous themes of chaos. The NGOs working in the name of development and women rights acted like advance guards of the West collecting data and providing intelligence. Selected westernised expatriates like Mohamed Elbaradei from the Middle East provided the backdoor leadership, the powder keg was ready, it needed a spark. Tunisia provided the spark and powder keg exploded with all its ferocity. Sparks of revolt with fault lines based on sectarianism and ethnicity can become volcanoes of destruction, if sane people do not come forward. What are the new narratives being written for the Ummah in Washington, Tel Aviv and Rome? Yesterday, we saw Sudan break up into two. Now there is talk of Kurdish uprising in Syria exploding the triangle of Turkey, Iran and Iraq into flames - the famous Kurdistan war prophesised in a study by the US air force in 1996 (by the name of Alternate Futures 2025) is projected to occur in 2014. Syrian Sunnis are being suggested by the West to throw the yoke of Alawi Dynasty of Al-Assads, a repeat of what Iraqi Shiites were told to do against Saddam Hussein. Bahraini Shiites are being urged to liberate Manama from the Sunni rulers and Yemeni liberals are being asked to fight Al-Qaeda cadre (similar to the narrative played in FATA). My humble request to the ruling elite of the Muslim lands is to join their heads together, consult in the larger interest of the Ummah, shun the sectarian differences and usher in quick reforms to bridge the yawning gap between the elite and the common man. This is time to avoid fighting and ask for the rights of the Palestinians, Kashmiris and Afghans Muslims from the naked tyranny of Israel, India and the US led coalition. If freedom and democracy is so dear to the West that it can bomb Libya to dust, then let it be so,. Apply the same principal and ask for the liberation of Muslim lands from the actual tyrants. Let the Kashmiris, Afghans and Palestinians hit the streets of Srinagar, Kabul and Al-Quds and throw the yolk of slavery for good. For the common people, please dont play to the tunes of the West, wait with patience for the dawn of democracy to shine your skies, avoid chaos and anarchy for anarchy is worst then rule of a tyrant. O the rulers and the ruled of the Ummah, have faith in Allah Almighty, this is the time to hold the rope with steadfastness. If Nelson Mandela could steer South Africa out from the spectre of chaos, and if Kenya could avoid a civil war recently, we can do that too, after all we are one people of faith.
