SWAT - Advisor to PM Amir Muqam has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given a responsible task by nominating monitoring heads of federal institution in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa expressing the hope that it would be an effective initiative.

He was talking to local PML-N leaders at his residence Parun House Sangota here on Sunday. On this occasion, hundreds of workers and supporters were present who felicitated their leader on his new appointment.  Addressing on the occasion, Muqam said all the locals and provincial leaders together will solve the entire problems which the people are facing and soon he will open an office at Peshawar in order to redress the problems of general public.

Later, he listened to the problems of workers and general public. He also issued orders to Wapda officials to complete the remaining work of tehsil Matta electricity supply line as soon as possible. The PM advisor further went on saying that the problems of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa people regarding gas and electricity will be solved soon.

Meanwhile, Shamsher Ali Mirkhankhel was elected as President and Nisar Ali Essakhel General Secretary as they have won the district bar association elections of Swat.

Shamsher bagged 156 votes while his opponent Aftab Alam secured 93. Nisar Ali Essakhel, a candidate for general secretary, grabbed 177 votes against Adil Khan who polled 71 votes. For the position of vice-president, Imanullah secured 131 votes against Naseem Gul 117 votes. Mohammad Ali Duranni was elected joint secretary after taking 147 votes against his opponent, Kabir Khan, who secured 99.
