Member of National Assembly Jamshed Khan Dasti demanded the Army Chief on Tuesday to take action against the patrons of the terrorists sitting in assemblies.

Addressing a news conference here at Multan Press Club, Mr Dasti said that the chiefs of the terrorists are sitting in assemblies and action against them would help eliminate terrorism from the country. “Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Rana Sana Ullah are the biggest terrorists. Action should be taken against them,” he demanded. He said that the Lahore tragedy was shocking for him and the Chief Minister should have resigned. “The Chief Minister should have accepted his failure and resigned from his office,” he asserted. He said that Shahbaz Sharif staged the drama of donating blood for the blast victims. “How can a blood cancer patient donate blood? He staged this drama to get media attention,” he alleged.

He also criticised Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and said that they arrested innocent people. “The army should carry out indiscriminate operation against terrorists. The CTD arrest innocent people and victimize them,” he alleged. He hoped that the army operation would produce positive results and get the country rid of terrorism menace. He stressed upon the media to support the family of Yousuf, victim of Lahore blast, who was initially suspected to be the suicide bomber. “I urge upon the media and masses to support his family to get justice otherwise they’ll brand anyone a terrorist in future,” he warned.

He lashed out at the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and said that whatever he said in his speech was a pack of lies. He said that the masses were tired of bad governance and arrogant attitude of the rulers and they wanted to get rid of them. He claimed that about 15,000 police personnel were deployed to guard just Raiwind. “If the entire police force is deployed at Raiwind, who will protect the poor people?” he questioned. He strongly criticised Chairman NAB for not taking action against corrupt elements of PML-N. He alleged that some mainstream leaders of PML-N were involved in corruption worth billions but NAB did not take any action against him. “How can he (Chairman NAB) take action against the thieves while he himself is guilty,” he maintained. Mr Dasti claimed that the arrested RAW agent would be dispatched to India soon. “The rulers will send him back safely in darkness of night like Raymond Davis,” he claimed.
