At a time when some political parties had raised a voice against influx of internally-displaced persons into Karachi and other parts of Sindh, Prime Minister made the right observation during his visit of Lahore that the displaced people were Pakistanis and it was their right to go to any part of the country, even settle there if they so wished. We need to mitigate the sufferings of our suffering brethren in whatever way we can. The nation deserves applause for what it is doing for relief and rehabilitation of the affectees. It is our national responsibility to stand by our people in this hour of great trial and tribulation.
