LAHORE - A contempt of court petition has been filed against Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on his objectionable remarks regarding case pending against dual offices of President. The petition was filed by Engineer Ghulam Jilani at the Lahore High Court (LHC). Engineer had already filed a constitutional plea before the LHC challenging Asif Zardaris holding office of PPP co-chairperson and president of Pakistan. In this case, the court had already given presidents counsel time till June 14 to file reply. In his application Engineer stated that the prime minister made remarks about presidents dual office, which amounted to contempt of court. He stated that as the matter was pending before the court and even the prime minister through comments could not pass verdict on it.
