KARACHI - A PPP activist was gunned down while another injured in an incident of target killing in the limits of Azizabad police station here on Saturday. As per report, Yousuf Dada, 34 and Irfan Katchi, 32 were standing near Dabbu Club located at Hussainabad when two armed men on a motorbike came and opened fire at them. Both the victims sustained serious wounds. They were later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced the death of Yousuf while termed the condition of Irfan as critical. Police said that Yousuf was the general secretary of the Ward no 106 of Pakistan People Partys (PPP) Youth Wing. Following the incident tension prevailed in the locality while heavy contingent of the law enforcers reached the spot to handle the law and order situation. In another incident, a five-year-old boy was burnt alive within the limits of Ferozabad police station. Sources said Imran burnt alive when his parents started the generator from which the fire accidentally broke out and engulfed the house. The fire brigade rushed to the site and rescued rest of the family members but the child was trapped in the fire. He died on the spot. The body of the deceased was later shifted to the hospital and handed over to the family after autopsy.
