ISLAMABAD - PML-Q has submitted a number of adjournment motions including water distribution between Pakistan and India in the National Assembly Secretariat for the upcoming session starting from June 3. Putting corruption on the part of Government on the top of party agenda for debate in the NA session, the PML-Q has asked the govet to start discussion on price hike, taxes like VAT on health and education sectors and food items. Other adjournment motions include baton charge on teachers in Sindh and govts failure to meet its commitments made to LHW, APCA, NPIW, OGDCL and teachers, besides worsening law and order, target-killing, sectarian and ethnic strife in the country. Adjournment motion regarding water distribution comprised not only water distribution between Pakistan and India but also among provinces and within provinces in accordance with Indus Water Treaty and 1991 Accord." while another adjournment motion is about implications of new National Security Strategy of US on Pakistan, PML-Q statement informed. PML-Q legislators including Faisal Saleh Hayat, Marvi Memon, Amir Muqam, Bushra Rehman and Humayun Saifullah have also submitted adjournment motions on police torture, provincial autonomy after 18th Amendment and Governments indecision to take Chinese technical assistance in Hunza disaster.
