Police arrest accused, conduct raids to catch others

MARDAN - Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police, Mardan range, Abdullah Khan on Tuesday said that a person was arrested while raids were being conducted to arrest the other accused of kidnapping and raping a girl.
Taking to TheNation, he said a report published in TheNation on Saturday that Ayesha, resident of Maho Naray, told the police that she was alone at home when her neighbour Usman entered the house and intoxicated her by putting a handkerchief on her mouth. She said that when she gained her senses she was in an unknown place in Punjab. She alleged that Wahab, Khalil and Rajwali, all residents of Maho Naray, were also present there. She added that the said persons had not only been torturing her but also sexually abusing her for five months.
Ayesha said that she managed to escape and reached her house five months after her kidnapping. DIG further said that police has already registered First Information Report against the accused under sections 365-B, 337 J and 392. 
DIG Mardan further said that he take strict action of the incident and ordered the district police officer (DPO) Danashwar Khan to arrange a special party to arrest the accused involved in this cruel act. DIG further said that police arrested the prime accused named Usman and raids are continued to arrest the other accused.
