KASUR - A robber was killed after a bullet, fired by his accomplice, hit him during a robbery at Village Bongi Kalian in Allahabad police limits.
Ghulam Muhammad, his wife and niece were on their way when three burglars held them. When Ghulam Muhammad overpowered one of them, another robber fired shots but the bullet hit his accomplice, killing him on the spot. The deceased was identified as Ramzan, alias Jani. Police entered a case and launched an investigation.
Separately, a man was killed when he resisted a robbery bid near village Bavaiwala in the Kot Radha Kishan police limits. The Kasur District and Sessions Judge awarded death sentence to a man and seven-year imprisonment to another in a murder case. Two and half years ago, they killed TMA official Abdul Shakoor during a robbery.
