WASHINGTON - The United Nations has celebrated the annual International Day of Peacekeepers.
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon paid tributes to 106 peacekeepers, including two Pakistanis, who sacrificed their lives during peace missions. Pakistan's deputy permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Sahebzada Ahmed Khan, received the medals.
