TOBA TEK SINGH- A 22-year-old victim of rape by a fake faith healer (pir) attempted to commit suicide by consuming poisonous pills in
Rajana town today.
According to police, a 22 year old girl was subjected to sexual assault by Muhammad Asghar, the fake faith healer, two days ago at
his aastana. However, the local influential people stopped the woman and her family to lodge a complaint with police, assuring them of justice through local jury- punchayat.
Though, instead of bring the culprit to justice, the local jury members kept favouring the fake faith healer. Therefore, the hopeless woman consumed poisonous pills. The victim was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Toba Tek Singh in critical condition. Meanwhile, the police took the fake faith healer into custody.
