Capital getting  new look,  says CDA member

ISLAMABAD - Capital Development Authority (CDA) is giving a new face to federal capital Islamabad according to the vision of the Prime Minister Imran Khan, said Member (Finance) and Spokesperson CDA, Rana Shakil Asghar here on Saturday.  He expressed these views while addressing a flag hoisting ceremony at Faisal Avenue green belt in Islamabad. While hoisting the flag, he said that maintaining respect of this flag is the top priority of the department. This flag is the symbol of independence, he added. Flag will be hoisted with rising sun and will be lowered with the setting sun. The CDA has given special duties to its workers for this purpose. Flag was hoisted here in 2014 but due to the negligence of the previous administration, it could not be maintained. However, the flag has been hoisted again due to the interest of the current administration of the CDA. The administration will maintain it also, said the officials. Enhancing the beauty of the city is the top priority of the CDA, he further said. Director Environment, officers, and staff members were present at the occasion.
Meanwhile, Chairman CDA inspected firefighting operation going on in Margalla Hills National Park. He encouraged the teams of various civic agencies who are jointly carrying out these operations. DG environment and director regional environment were also present at this occasion. Instructions were issued to the environment formations of the CDA to monitor the area round the clock and ensure no fire incident occurs.

 He further instructed that police, water bowsers and all firefighting equipment be present in the vicinity to initiate prompt response. 
The chairman stressed upon the need of engaging the local population to prevent such incidents and getting timely information about the locations. 
He further said that preserving the natural environment was his top priority.
