MULTAN - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has claimed that key personalities will join his party within next few days.

Talking to delegations of workers here on Thursday, he added that the silent majority of masses was with the PTI because of anti-public policies of the rulers. "These silent supporters will play a key role in bringing revolution in the country at appropriate time," he claimed.

Pointing his finger towards the leadership of the PML-N, he said that the praises to President Zardari astonished both leaguers and common citizens. He said that the recent statements of N-League leadership gave further strength to the impression that this party always did the politics of power. 

Referring to party elections, he said that the process got accomplished in a good manner as a result of which 500 party office-bearers were elected. He added that the newly-elected office-bearers would use their vote to make district bodies.

4-Day Training Workshop: The Pakistan Agricultural Research Council in collaboration with Food & Agriculture Organisation launched 4-day training workshop on preservation and enhancing pollinators to improve quality mango production.

The four day training workshop was held at Nawabpur under auspices of local NGO Kainat Social Welfare Organisation and attended by dozens of mango-farmers and master trainers.

Dr Ghulam Sarwar while addressing the participants stated that preservation of pollinators could help improve mango production by 30 to 40 percent. He further informed that "Honey Bees" were highly important pollinators. He informed about different techniques to being used to preserve and enhance pollinators. He added that farmers did spray without opting preventive measures which resulted in killing of 90 percent of friendly pests.

Officials of National Agricultural Research Centre, Honey Bees Research Institute, Rana Farooq, Laique Sheikhana and others also delivered lecture in training workshop.

Arrangements reviewed: Punjab minister for Auqaf Haji Ehsan Uddin Qureshi has said that foolproof security arrangements will be made for the upcoming Urs of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Multani.

The three-day Urs will commence on December 20 and continue till 23rd.

Addressing a meeting held here at DCO office to review arrangements for the Urs, the minister further asked all concerned government departments to finalize their arrangements before the Urs. He issued orders for making arrangements for the boarding and lodging of faithful coming from other provinces for the Urs. He congratulated security agencies for making foolproof security arrangements for the Ashura, saying the successful policy of the agencies thwarted the vicious designs of terrorists.

Speaking on this occasion, the DCO Naseem Sadiq said that the faithful would feel a clear difference this year as there would be no lapses in arrangements. He added that the residential arrangements for the faithful would be made in schools and colleges while special measures would be adopted for the sanitation and water supply while specific points would be set up for sabils and langars.

He said that doctors and paramedics would remain present in medical camps for first aid while the personnel of civil defence and bomb disposal squad would be deployed at sensitive spots. He said that uninterrupted power supply would be ensured.
