KARACHI - Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee of MQM, Dr Farooq Sattar has said that the MQM’s manifesto will ensure progress, prosperity and stability for the country and the nation. He said that the MQM would bring the real change in the country with its manifesto. He expressed these views while addressing a meeting of the Central Executive Council of the MQM in Khursheed Begum Secretariat in Azizabad.Dr Sattar said that the manifesto was in final stages of completion and it would prove to be a manifesto for changing the destiny of the oppressed and downtrodden people of the country. “The MQM is the only political party in the country that represents the middle-class people, and hence it is unique among all other political parties of the country.”Dr Sattar said that the MQM is playing an important role in bringing a positive change in the Pakistani society. “Altaf Hussain is the only leader in the country who has encouraged new leadership from middle class and has never aspired to any public office for himself.”Dr Sattar said that Hussain spoke about the revolution when most of the politician did not know anything about the real spirit of the revolution. “Time has come for 180 million people of the country to decide if they support the middle class leadership. If they did not take a decision now they would continue to groan under the oppressive burden of hereditary politics.”He stressed that the people must decide beyond a shadow a doubt if they wanted a Quaid Azam’s Pakistan or a Pakistan in the grip of religious extremists. “This time we have to fight for Pakistan in the general elections, and we must not hesitate from giving any sacrifice.”Sattar said that peace and order was the biggest challenge facing the country that had weakened the economy. Those who participated in the CEC meeting included Deputy Convener Senator Nasrin Jalil, members of the Co-ordination Committee Raza Haroon, Kunwar Naveed Jamil, Saif Yar Khan, Aftakhar Akbar Randhawa, and Ashfaque Mangi.
