Passerby wounded in Quetta blast

QUETTA - A passer-by was wounded in a bomb blast in Quetta on Thursday night.SSP Khalid Masood said unidentified miscreants had planted an explosive device near Barech Market adjacent to Sirki Road that exploded with a huge bang, wounding a passer-by. The blast occurred near a checkpost that also scattered windowpanes of nearby buildings.  Frontier Corps and police Personnel rushed and cordoned off the area. The injured passerby was moved to Civil Hospital for medical aid.  According to Bomb Disposal Squad, three-kilogram explosives were used in the bomb which was detonated through a timed device. No group claimed the responsibility for the blast till the filing of this report. A formal inquiry into the incident has been launched.
