SIALKOT - The Punjab government has now decided to distribute solar energy systems to brilliant students who succeed in obtaining minimum 65 percent marks in the matriculation examinations across the province, said a PML-N central leader of Sialkot.  Addressing public meetings at Rangpura and Mori Gate localities, MNA Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the Punjab government's initiative to distribute laptops to talented students was warmly welcomed by everyone. After the laptops' distribution, he added, the Punjab government would now distribute solar energy systems to the brilliant students across the Punjab.  "Each solar energy system costs Rs25, 000. The students who get overall 65 percent marks in their annual matriculation examinations from any educational board in Punjab will be able to get these solar energy systems free of cost," he added. The initiative of distribution of the solar energy systems was aimed at facilitating the students during loadshedding, he said.  Khawaja revealed that the Punjab government had already completed paperwork in this regard and the scheme would be announced by the provincial government very soon.
