ISLAMABAD - ZTBL thrashed UBL by an innings and 256 runs in the Grade-I President's Trophy (2012-2013) here at Marghazar ground on Thursday.
United Bank resumed their second innings at the overnight total of 157/6 and bowled out for 208 in 52.4 overs, Imran Ali (61), Ali Asad (33), Faheem Qureshi (27) and Abid Ali (24) played well. Zohaib Khan and M. Khalil took 3 wickets each for 29 and 35 runs respectively.
Earlier ZTBL had declared their first innings at 643 for the loss of 6 wickets; UBL made 179 in first innings and were forced to follow on.
At Diamond ground, Port Qasim and HBL match ended in a draw. HBL had scored 198/2 in 34 overs when match was called off. Earlier, Port Qasim had declared their first innings at 675 for the loss of 6 wickets in 171.4 overs. At National ground rain saved State Bank from defeat against SNGPL and match was ended in a draw as no play was possible on the last day due to last night’s which left ground in unplayable condition.
