Could someone please tell me what happened to the parliament’s lifting of the ban on ‘Youtube.com,’ quite some time back? What’s stopping implementation of the parliament’s orders in this regard? I don’t know about others, but I am being denied a wealth of scientific and literary knowledge of all kinds by keeping Youtube off the air. If the continuation of the ban is due to the availability of some blasphemous or undesirable material on the site, well this is available on millions of other sites, so should we, or can we ban them all? Keeping the lid on Youtube is not harming anyone but ourselves, as we are denying a huge source of knowledge to the Pakistanis. Hope the govt. would take steps to reactivate it soon.
