Jawwad Rafique appointed NHA chairman

ISLAMABAD - In a major reshuffle in federal bureaucracy, the federal government has appointed a grade-21 officer Jawwad Rafique Malik as chairman National Highways Authority.

According to the Establishment Division’s notification, “Jawed Rafique Malik, a BS-21 officer of [the] Pakistan Administrative Service, presently posted as secretary National Assembly Secretariat, is transferred and posted as chairman National Highway[s] Authority under Communication Division under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973, with immediate effect and until further orders.”

The appointment/posting of the officer is subject to ratification by the National Highway Council (NHC).

Yousuf Naseem Khokhar, a BS-22 officer of the PAS presently posted as secretary, Power Division, is assigned additional/look after charge of the post of secretary National Food Security and Research Division as well as the Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Division, in addition to his own duties from 04-12-2017 to 16-12-2017 the period the incumbent secretary, National Food Security and Research Division, shall be on visit abroad.

Tahir Hussain, a grade-21 officer of the PAS has been transferred and posted as secretary National Assembly Secretariat under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973.

He was previously serving as additional secretary Climate Change Division.

Masood Akhtar Chaudhary, a BS-21 officer of the Military Lands and Cantonment group, presently posted as senior joint secretary, Establishment Division is assigned the additional charge of the post of managing director, Federal Employees Benevolent and Group Insurance Fund for the period of three months or till the appointment of regular incumbent against the post, whichever is earlier, with immediate effect or until further orders.

The services of Shahid Nadeem, a grade-20 officer of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, presently posted as MD Federal Employees Benevolent and Group Insurance Fund have been repatriated to his parent office of the Auditor General of Pakistan.
