Not a single step taken for Madinah-like state: JI

LAHORE  -   Jamaat-i-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq regretted on Thursday that the party which had promised to make Pakistan a Madinah-like state had not taken a single step in that direction nor was it expected to do that in the near future.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and various ministers yesterday highlighted government performance in various walks of life.

Expressing his views over the 100-day performance of the government here, Siraj said every government had been making tall claims of putting the country on the path of progress and removing the difficulties of the people but in fact, they had been deceiving the general public.

The JI chief said the exploitative system devised by the feudal lords had been brought up by the colonial rulers and was still in vogue. A handful of families had monopoly over political parties and their progeny had been in power with change of faces. These families and theirw parties had been protecting the corruption and other misdeeds of one another.

The JI chief warned the PTI leadership that if it did not make sincere efforts towards Madina-like state, it too would meet the fate of the previous ruling parties. He said the PTI was under the impression that it had five long years ahead but it must realize that these years would pass in no time.

Siraj said the present rulers had also secured loans like the previous ones and these loans were the main cause of the prevailing economic mess in the country.
