LAHORE - Former Nazim Syed Fazal Abbas called on Acting Punjab Governor Ch Parvez Elahi at Governor House and announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) along with his colleagues. Ch Parvez Elahi said that local bodies’ elections were an effective method of providing rights to the people. He announced that the Pakistan Muslim League would participate in local bodies’ elections in Punjab. He said that the immediate and only solution to the basic problems of the people lay in the independent local bodies. “If the people get the solution of their problems at the doorstep, the culture of brotherhood including peace and order will be promoted in the society,” he said. On this occasion, Syed Fazal Abbas said that Ch Parvez Elahi as the Chief Minister had played an important role in alleviating the deprivations of South Punjab. “Ch Parvez Elahi is a person who shares people’s sorrows. We will move forward with his vision”, he said.
