The people of Pakistan in general and Sindh in particular were in great shock when they came to know that President Asif Ali Zardari and co-chairman, ruling PPP had sent two police officers and one bureaucrat (DCO) to Mrs. Ghinwa Bhutto daughter-in-law of late Begum Nusrat Bhutto residing in Al Murtaza at Larkana to come to Naodero to catch the last glimpses of dead body of the Begum Bhutto. As matter of fact, it was not good gesture. Nonetheless, they were demanding to bring the dead body to the Al-Murtaza where Shaheed Bhutto and Begum Bhutto spent most of the time whenever they used to visit Larkana, being Bhuttos ancestral residence. If there were some differences in the two families, it would have been better to send Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, son of President Asif Zardari personally to Al Murtaza to resolve such family matters amicably in case President Zardari himself was unwilling to go there at all. Further, Mrs Ghinwa Bhuttos complaint that they were not formally informed about the sad demise of Begum Bhutto and they came to know sad news only through media was further shocking. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto as well as Mrs Nusrat Bhutto mostly spent their time in Al Murtaza during their visit to Larkana. Nonetheless, they rarely visited Naodero House. There was no harm if the dead body of Begum Bhutto would have been handed over for 2-3 hours to Al Murtaza under some mutually agreed arrangements. Sindhs senior minister Pir Mazhars statement that Begum Bhutto was mostly staying in Naodero was misleading. I appeal to President Asif Ali Zardari who is currently elevated to the highest slot in the country to show his greatness and generosity whenever there are such family matters in Bhuttos families.
