Four killed in Nowshera shrine blast

NOWSHERA - At least four persons were killed and 25 others sustained injuries in a bomb blast outside Kaka Sahib Sufi shrine here on Sunday.
Police said a remote-controlled explosive device strapped to a bicycle exploded at the main gate of the shrine where scores of people were present.
Talking to the media, senior police officer Mumtaz Khan said at least four persons were killed and 23 others were wounded in the attack. The victims were shifted to hospitals in Peshawar. Interior Minister Rehman Malik told media terrorists used an illegal mobile phone SIM for conducting the blast. Saying that illegal SIMs are now becoming a lethal weapon, he said terrorists did not succeed on Saturday as the mobile service was closed down for few hours. Taliban also condemned the shrine blast, distancing itself from the incident.
