LAHORE: Slamming the media for bringing the Malala attack in the spotlight, TTP chief Hakimullah Mehsud has said a ‘minor incident’ has been played up to hatch a ‘poisonous’ plot against the Taliban.
In a four-minute audio message sent to BBC, Mehsud said: “A minor incident has been played up to cook up a plot against extremists.”
He said the Ummah had been going through a critical phase where Muslims had been incited to violence by blasphemous acts like films and cartoons.
Expressing annoyance over the Pakistan government, he dubbed it as secular.
“Pakistani agency ISI carries terrorist attack against innocent civilians and blame Taliban to defame the group, urging that media should not lay responsibility on Taliban before confirming it.”
