TOBA TEK SINGH - The CIA Police Staff allegedly occupied an Irrigation Department building located adjacent to Adilwala Canal Rest House near Bhawana in Chiniot district.

In a joint press statement issued here on Monday, the Irrigation Department Employees Union (CBA) President Allah Bakhsh Sial and General Secretary Zafar Iqbal Khan alleged that a police party led by a CIA ASI Ijaz Asghar reached the building and threw out goods and other items owned by the Irrigation Department employees outside the building.

They added that the policemen made the building as their investigation and torture-cell and also chopped a number of costly trees in the building premises.

They said that the department officials had submitted a written application to the Faisalabad Regional Police Officer (RPO) and Commissioner in which they had mentioned about the matter.  They demanded the IGP, and Commissioner to order CIA Police to vacate the unlawfully occupied building of the Irrigation Department.

When contacted a Bhawana Police official stated on phone that he was unaware of any occupation of the Irrigation Department building by CIA staff.
