LAHORE – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Lahore Chapter held a demonstration outside the Punjab Assembly on Monday to protest against offloading of Imran Khan from a New York-bound plane in Toronto and investigation by US officials.
Imran Khan was offloaded from a flight bound for New York from Toronto on Friday. After investigation by the US officials, he and other PTI members were allowed to proceed on next flight.
Carrying placards and banners inscribed with writings in favour of the PTI chairman, highly charged participants chanted slogans against America and rulers in Islamabad.
Terming treatment meted out to Imran Khan an insult to 180 million people, they demanded an apology from the American and Canadian governments.
