MULTAN - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that his party firmly sticks to its stance that the US must revise its drone attack policy. Talking to the journalists after offering Eid prayers at Darbar Bahauddin Zakariya, he added that it was basic right of Imran Khan to disagree with American policies. "Even not all American citizens agree with all policies of US government. The PTI's Waziristan rally against drone attacks was also joined by Americans. Would America ban the entry of these citizens too?" he posed a question.
He said that Imran Khan was the politician of international stature and his questioning by American officials in Canada was condemnable. "This act of Americans should be investigated at international level," he demanded. He said that Imran Khan's US visit was scheduled and barring him from entering USA despite presence of valid visa and other documents was unnecessary and regrettable.
To a query, he said that investigations should be launched against those who, despite decision of Asghar Khan Case, still claimed that they had not received money. "Beside legal action against them, entire money should also be recovered from them," he added. Responding to a question regarding internal strife in PTI, he said that difference of opinion was beauty of democracy and it existed in all parties. He claimed that no one had any objection on the PTI leadership. He said that the masses had lost their trust in federal and provincial governments and they wanted change.
He disclosed that the party elections of PTI would start from Islamabad from November 2, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and then Punjab. He told the journalists that latest technology was acquired from abroad to make the party polls transparent.
