KARACHI - PakTurk Businessmen Association (PTBA) Managing Director Salih Demir Pazarci has invited a delegation of the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to participate in Turkiye-World Trade Bridge 2013 scheduled to be staged from Nov 22 to Nov 28 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Speaking at a meeting during his visit to KCCI, Salih Pazarci said that more than 1000 participants from 130 countries are expected to participate in this exhibition whereas a total of 65 visitors from Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan have confirmed their participation so far. “We are expecting around 100 visitors from Pakistan as soon as we get confirmations from the businessmen of Karachi city”, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, President KCCI, A. Abdullah Zaki assured that they will arrange a KCCI’s delegation’s visit to this year’s exhibition. President KCCI, while appreciating the improved trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey, underscored the need for further enhancing interaction between the business communities of both countries and in this regard, such exhibitions can undoubtedly pave way for attaining the objectives.
He also highlighted KCCI’s role in strengthening the trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
Salih Demir Pazarci, while highlighting the key features of Turkiye-World Trade Bridge 2013, informed that the exhibition will be focusing on products relating to food, agriculture, livestock, poultry, fast moving consumer goods and related machinery. “It will provide a perfect opportunity to Pakistani businessmen to exchange views and hold business-to-business (B2B) meetings not only with Turkish businessmen but also with more than 1,000 participants from various countries around the world who will gather under one roof to become part of this exhibition being organised by the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkiye (TUSKON)”, he added.
Managing Director PTBA said that although trade volume between the two countries has improved significantly during the past few years but still there was a need for undertaking joint ventures and Turkiye-World Trade Bridge 2013 will provide a perfect platform where the organisers have made special arrangements  for match-making and B2B meetings.
President KCCI, A. Abdullah Zaki, Senior Vice President KCCI, Muffasar A. Malik; Vice President KCCI, Muhammad Idrees; Former President KCCI, Khalid Firoz and other members of the Managing Committee were also present at the meeting. General Manager of Turkish Airlines, Huseyin Cepni and Director Public Relations PTBA, Sedat TOZLUK also accompanied the Managing Director PTBA during his visit to the chamber.
