Over nomination of PML-N candidates for 44 constituencies and union councils in Sadiqabad ahead of the Local Bodies elections, consultation among the local leadership of the party is underway.

As per the party sources, the local PML-N bigwigs include Punjab Minister for Investment and Industries Chaudhry Shafiq, MNA Arshad Leghari and MPA Azhar Leghari. Talking to the media, they said that candidates would be nominated with consensus. They added strong and electable persons would be fielded for the upcoming elections.

They added that the PML-N would give preference to the loyal party workers who had made sacrifices for it in this regard. However, the Punjab minister had given go ahead to the expected candidates for initiation of electioneering in their respective constituencies. Meanwhile, PML-N City President Arshad Taj and other incumbents have started election campaign. The sources said that the local party leadership would announce the nominated of candidates soon.

DEVELOPMENT CLAIMED: PML-N Youth Wing tehsil president Ashfaq Khaliq claimed that the Punjab minister completed development projects worth billions of rupees in his constituency and provided basic amenities for the people at their doorsteps.

He added that his party candidates would get landslide victories in the LG polls. The PML-N and its Youth Wing activists had started electioneering with all guns blazing, he said.
